It is
one of the strangest things
when a simple kiss
in the rain,
under the glistening
glowing night,
standing on the edge
of a concrete parking lot,
can make time obsolete
of its purpose
and cease to
exist.
For a moment,
the Earth stops turning.
The Sun’s burning flames
are frozen,
the eternal songs
of the galaxy
are hushed.
Suddenly,
a beautiful clarity
clears the mind.
The questions of the Universe
are answered
by the
oddly familiar
light
in your
eyes.
The worries of tomorrow
dissolve
in the
sparkling of
crystal rain drops
descending from
radiant beams of
the luminous
moon.
Immediately,
nothing in this world exists
except for the swirling
melody of a,
somehow forgotten,
song.
All there is,
in this
whole wide existence, are
two lost souls dancing
beneath the death defying,
and century old,
magic of
antique starlight.
The realization
ignites inside me
that I have never felt
so happy,
in my entire life,
than at this exact
moment.
Tears
begin to well,
flooding into
my eyes,
as I hold your hand,
and you hold me
so gently.
An overwhelming
wave of pure wonder
and glorious
mind dizzying
euphoria
engulfs every
nerve and atom
within my being.
Because I have
found you.
Finally.
The stranger that
I am sure,
down to my soul,
I have somehow known
forever.
You are
my Supernova.
Your explosion
into my world
outshines every galaxy
that I have ever
gazed upon.
Your magnetic energy
more radiant than
every incandescent
sun.
And as we danced,
beneath the
shimmering universe,
on top of the
time frozen Earth,
I looked into
the ocean depths
of your eyes and
it was right then
that I knew.
I knew,
standing together,
on the edge
of our supernatural
Concrete Galaxy,
that I would
never need
to search for
magic
in my life,
or in the
universe,
again.
